53rd Ave Lift Station

Project Overview

This project includes timely upgrades and relocation of the City of Fridley’s 53rd Avenue Lift Station. The existing sanitary sewer lift station is located immediately adjacent to 53rd Avenue at the Target Store entrance, west of Highway 65. The current location makes maintenance difficult for City staff.

This location has also historically put the lift station at risk by vehicular traffic and vandalism. In addition to addressing the safety and reliability concerns, a major project for a turnaround/roundabout feature to improve traffic safety has been proposed for this area next season in 2022. As such, now is a strategic time to relocate the new 53rd Avenue Lift Station approximately 130 feet northeast to a more suitable location.

An overall schedule for the project can be found here.
