44th Avenue Bridge

Anoka County has identified nine future transportation improvement projects to submit for federal funding through the Metropolitan Council including the 44th Avenue Bridge. Project Background

Anoka County and the City of Fridley are requesting feedback on need and scope for improvements to the 44th Avenue bridge over the BNSF railroad tracks between East River Rd and Main Street. During public outreach on the City’s trail plan, the 44th Avenue bridge was identified as a safety concern for bicyclists and pedestrians due to lack of sidewalks and trails.
